This is a series of posters I created as part of a project, “The Importance of Paperin Chinese Practices.” The objective of the project is to bring the focus to the dying craft of Chinese paper offerings such as Joss Paper and Paper Effigies. The belief behind the burning of paper offerings is that the Ancestors will receive the
actual items in the Otherworld. I made three posters, two taking the typographic approach and another as a craft process poster. The aim is to educate and intrigue the audience with interesting visuals and create awareness to this design issue.
